How to Add-Edit-Delete Aircraft Certificates

In this tutorial, I will show you how to add, edit, and delete aircraft certificates.

First, log into your account.

ADD: (0:09)

To add a certificate:

1. Go to the Aircraft Module.

2. Select an aircraft.

3. Click on the Certificates tab.

4. Use the “+” plus button in the bottom right corner of the page to open the “Add a certificate” window.

5. Enter the name of the certificate, the expiry date, and any extra comments.

6. Don’t forget to save.

EDIT: (0:37)

To edit an aircraft certificate:

1. Click on the three dots next to the certificate you want to edit, and choose “edit”.

2. In this window you can edit the chosen certificate’s name, expiry date and comments.

3. Don’t forget to save.

DELETE: (0:55)

To delete an aircraft certificate:

1. Click on the three dots next to the certificate you want to delete, and choose “delete”.

2. A notification will pop up to confirm that you want to delete this certificate.

VIEW AIRCRAFT CERTIFICATE WARNINGS: (1:09)

You can see when a certificate has expired, as the expiration date, appears in red on the left-hand side of the tab.

Additionally, if the certificate is going to expire within the next 30 days, the date will automatically change to yellow, and a warning will be displayed on the left of the tab.

All certificates are synchronized with the Schedule Module, so, in case an aircraft has an expired certificate, the Schedule and Dispatch Settings can prevent that aircraft from being booked or dispatched.

Certificates that have expired or are about to expire are also visible in the Dashboard Module, in the Aircraft Tab.

SETTINGS: (1:52)

To prevent scheduling a booking when expired, go to Settings>Schedule>Aircraft constraints> Prevent booking when a certificate expired.

And to prevent a dispatch, go to Settings>Dispatch>Aircraft constraints>Prevent dispatch when a certificate expired.

ROLES AND PRIVILEGES: (2:16)

A user must have the corresponding Roles and Privileges to be able to Add, Edit, and Delete Aircraft Certificates. Let me show you.

1. Go to the Users Module.

2. Click on the Roles and Privileges icon in the top right-hand corner of the page.

3. Select a role from the dropdown list, for example, Instructor.

4. Click on the Aircraft Tab.

5. Select View Aircraft Module.

6. Scroll down to Certificates and select View Certificates.

7. Check the boxes, Add Certificates / Edit  Certificates / Delete Certificates.

Once you have checked these three boxes, the user is allowed to Add, Edit, and Delete Aircraft Certificates.
