How to Divide a Flight

In this tutorial, I will show you how to divide a flight in the Flights Module.

If you divide a flight, two flights will be created with the exact same basic information, such as aircraft type, flight type, and crew, apart from the time, which may be split.

You can divide a flight, for example, if you want to define more than one pilot-in-command throughout the flight.

DIVIDE FLIGHTS: (0:30)

Let me show you how to divide a flight:

1. First, log in to your account.

2. Go to the Flights Module.

3. Select the flight you want to divide and click on the three-dot menu on the right-hand side.

4. Select "Divide Flight".

5. You will be prompted with a window where you will see the total flight time and below a line with a small circle in the middle. Slide the circle to select the exact time you would like to divide the flight and click “Save”.

6. Now you will see two flights on the same day with the indicated times shown accordingly. You can choose to edit the flight information to change details such as the crew or the lesson.

ROLES AND PRIVILEGES: (1:15)

Please note that depending on the configuration of the Roles and Privileges for the Flights Module, a user may or may not have access to divide a flight. Let me show you:

1. Go to the Users Module.

2. Click on the "Roles" button.

3. Select a role from the drop-down list.

4. Click on the Flights tab.

5. Check off the box to view the Flights Module.

6. Scroll down to Add/Edit/Delete Flights and check the box “Divide flights”.
