How to Manage the Roles and Privileges for the Home Page
In this tutorial, I will show you how to configure the Privileges for the Home Page.
The Home Page is the first visible page for users as they log in, so it displays important information for users to take into account, such as scheduled bookings, missing signature reminders, certificate warnings, weather stations, and any other information you want to share.
By default, the cards displayed will depend on the Roles and Privileges given to each user. This means the admin of the school's Private-Radar account will have a different view from other users.
GENERAL USERS: (0:44)
General users will view the following cards: “My bookings”, “Missing signatures”, and “Certificate warnings”; these three cards appear automatically and can’t be edited or deleted. They will also view the weather stations card and any other cards that are created. These cards are visible for all users and can’t be limited to specific roles.
ADMIN: (1:10)
The Admin of the school's Private-Radar account won’t be able to see the following cards: “My bookings”, “Missing signatures”, and “Certificate warnings”. The Admin will view the weather card and any additional cards that have been created.
MANAGE ROLES AND PRIVILEGES: (1:28)
Now, let me show you how to manage the privileges for the Home Page:
1. First, log in to your account.
2. Go to the Users Module.
3. Click on the Roles button on the top right-hand corner of the page.
4. Select a role from the drop-down list.
5. Go to the Home tab.
6. Here you can select and unselect privileges for each role:
By default, all the users will have access to view the Home Page. It is the first page displayed when users log in, so it is always visible.
You can check the option add/edit cards.
As well as delete cards.
You can also give the privileges to add/edit weather stations.
And delete weather stations.
And finally, you can allow to add/edit the cover image.

Let’s see how the Home Page looks to a general user who has been given a role with all the privileges for the Home Page.
The user can add new cards by clicking on the plus sign on the bottom right-hand corner of the page, he can also edit and delete the cards by clicking on the three dots on the top right-hand corner of the card, and changing the cover image by clicking on the camera icon.
