In this tutorial, I will show you how to lock and unlock phases in a course. The restriction applies to a user and must be configured per user.

A locked phase will prevent anyone from selecting a lesson in that phase when they are selecting a lesson for a booking in the Schedule Module and when they are selecting a lesson for a flight in the Flights Module.

This feature makes it easier to follow the syllabus, stay on track with the phases of a course, and reduce errors.

For example, if a student is currently in phase one, you can lock all the additional phases. This will prevent the instructor or the scheduler from selecting a lesson from another phase.

Locked phases are related to the Courses Module but are configured per user in the User Module.

Let me show you:

1. First, go to the Users Module.

2. Select a User.

3. Click on the Courses tab and expand the course.

4. Scroll down to the phases.

5. You will see a small lock next to each phase. To lock it, just click on the open gray lock icon and it will turn into a closed red lock.

6. To unlock a phase, just click on the red closed lock icon and it will turn into an open gray lock again.

The red lock means the phase is locked. So if the phase has a red lock next to it no one will be able to select a lesson in that phase for that user.

Depending on the Roles and Privileges you may or may not be allowed to Lock / Unlock phases.
