How to use Users Mass Edit

In this tutorial, I will show you How to use Users Mass Edit.

The Users Mass Edit tab allows you to select specific users or a group of users to edit specific information on all selected users at once.

For example, you can select a group of students that have terminated their training and change their status to inactive. Or, select a group of instructors and change their role from “Instructor” to “Theoretical Instructor”, which will give them a different set of privileges.

NOTE: In the "Roles and Privileges" tab, you can only select a role that has already been configured. If you want to assign a new role not found in the drop-down menu, you must first add and configure it in the Users Module in Roles and Privileges.

For more information, please watch the tutorial Roles and Privileges for the Users Module.

MASS EDIT:

1. First, log in to your account.

2. Go to the Users Module.

3. Click on the “Mass Edit” button, the pencil icon on the top right-hand corner of the page. Here you can configure your changes.

4. First, select the users. You can either select all users or none. Just check and uncheck the boxes. You can select a specific user or group from the drop-down list, or manually look for the names and select one at a time.

5. When you finish your selection, click “Save”.

6. You can choose to change the users’ status to “Active” or “Inactive”. Inactive users will not be eligible to be scheduled for a flight or ground lesson, and will not be able to log in to Private-Radar.

7. Change the type of user to “Company”, “Pilot”, or “Non Pilot”. The type you choose for the user will change their user information and how that information is used in the system.

8. For example, a user with the type “Company” can be selected as a payer or subsidiary.

9. A user with the type "Pilot" will be displayed as an option in the drop-down list of the crew in a booking in the Schedule Module, so this should be selected for users such as students and instructors. Furthermore, for the type "Pilot" you can then change the status of each user.

10. You can write a general note. In the provided box, you can enter a note to update all of the selected users. This will register on the users' information.

11. You can select a role that will apply to all the selected users. This action will enable the Roles and Privileges that have been configured in the Users Module.

12. Select a base to change the main base of these users, the options are (Do not change, base 1 or base 2) based on your personal preferences and bases.

Don’t forget to save!

IMPORTANT: You can allow users with a specific role to be able to perform mass editing by configuring the Roles and Privileges for the Users Module. For more information, please watch the tutorial How to Manage the Privileges for the Users Module.
